P.A.N.D.O.R.A. – The project

The project

What is P.A.N.D.O.R.A.?

Project carried out in collaboration with

Fondazione Caritas ONLUS di Senigallia Associazione il Seme ODV Università Politecnica delle Marche – Dipartimento di Scienze della Vita e dell’Ambiente Università di Camerino Pierpaoli S.r.l Comune di Ancona

P.a.n.d.o.r.a.

Telling the story of risk in the age of uncertainty and guiding young people through one of the most difficult aspects of modern life: this is the aim of a network project that will involve non-profit organisations, universities and institutions in an initiative created by young people, for young people. Through workshops with professionals and using new creative languages, the young participants will co-design proper communication of risk and the management of uncertainty for the wider public.

In this way they will gain specific skills for themselves and, above all, become champions of active citizenship in a context as difficult as the current Covid-19 emergency. The videos they co-design will be gathered and enclosed in a Pandora’s “box”: a container offering an immersive experience that will travel through five towns.

Communicating risk

Together with Giancarlo Sturloni, an expert in risk communication, all the participants in the Pandora project explored this topic in depth and worked on creating the installations and multimedia content that form the backbone of the project.

Three artists worked alongside them:

  • Lorenzo Cicconi Massi (photographer and director)
  • Massimiliano Trevisan (video maker and science communicator)
  • Jacopo Sacquegno (visual thinker and illustrator)
